All of my help with the car comes from friends and relatives!
My wife, Carolyn, my brother Alan, my grandson Martin, and friends, Steve and Ron.  And of course moral support from Mom and Dad.  Without all their help, it would be near impossible to get to the track and race.  Thank you everyone!

Currently we race at tracks in California, Utah, and Idaho.
They include, Altamont, Shasta, Madera, Irwindale, Salt Lake City, and Boise, Idaho.  Last year Altamont Speedway had a LOT of upgrades done to it and it is one of the nicest tracks that we go to now.  I hope more people check it out.  There are more tracks in California, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona.  So who knows, we may have a whole different schedule for 2007!

1995  to 1997   Dirt Sprint Cars

I did some dirt track sprint car racing between 1995 and 1997.  Did not have much success but did win a heat race at every track that we went to except for Quincy.  Even got a win at Calistoga the only time that I raced there.  Dirt racing is fun but the car takes a beating and the mud is no fun to deal with!  Raced at tracks all over California.  They included Petaluma, Chico, Marysville, Placerville, Calistoga, Watsonville, San Jose, Hanford, and Bakersfield.

1986  to  1989  SCCA road racing

In the 1970's I got into drag racing with my first car, in the 1980's we went road racing, in the 1990's we went dirt sprint car racing, and in the 2000's we went pavement sprint car racing.  I guess every decade is going to bring a new form of racing!  Here are a few pics of the earlier stuff.

Here we go, SCCA racing at Sears point, in 1986.

1986 Laguna Seca Raceway

My real racing career got started by going SCCA road racing.  I raced at many tracks on the West Coast, they included Sears Point, Laguna Seca, Riverside, Willow Springs, and Portland.  All of these tracks were great fun.  We won the 1986 Championship and finished second in 1987 and 1988 and set a new track record in class at Sears Point the last time I raced there!

Our current form of racing is the USAC and CASA pavement sprint cars!
These cars are amazingly fast for just running 360 cubic inch engines!
I keep joking with Alan that if I had a big money sponsor that would be a lot faster.  Its probably partly true, it costs money to go fast!

Two NEW tracks and being built!  One in Buttonwillow(the new Mesa Marin in Bakersfield) and the other is in Merced County next to the old Castle Air Force Base called Riverside Motorsports Park a HUGE new complex!  These two new facilities will be fantastic.  I can't wait!
Here are their current links:
